Rejected – Federal government rejects subsidies
for artificial insemination only

The Federal Government has rejected the draft of the Federal Council on a law on fertility support for children. The law was intended to create the basic conditions for additional 25% reimbursement of costs from the federal budget for measures such as artificial insemination in addition to the 50% previously reimbursed by the GKVen. The Federal Government is not prepared to accept this additional cost reimbursement. It has pointed to planned funding opportunities from the federal states and the Federal Ministry of Family Affairs. However, these are still far from being ready for implementation.
