Single versus double intrauterine insemination
Comparison of the effectiveness of single and multiple insemination (sperm transfer)
By Dr. Esra Tonguc et al.
In 450 women with unclear causes of infertility, male subfertility or hormonal disorders, stimulated cycles were performed. The patients were randomly assigned to three groups.
- In Group 1, insemination (IUI) took place 24 hours after the HCG injection,
- in group 2 after 12 and 36 hours.
- The women in group 3 were inseminated after 36 hours.
Result: There was no statistically significant difference between the three groups.
